ern Asia and propagated by cuttings
from the root. There have been long-
standing claims for it’s uses, but these
have not had scientific research until
recent decades and many of the claims
have been largely confirmed. Turmeric
is believed to be an anti-inflammatory,
known to lower cholesterol le
vels and
has a protective action on the stomach
and liver.
