What is Matcha Madness? Throughout the month of March, Happy Lucky's® Teahouse will have a daily taste-off between two teas. Teahouse visitors will taste both teas and vote for their favorite. The winning tea each day will advance to the next round. On March 31st we will crown the Happy Lucky's Matcha Madness 2025 Grand Champion TEA.

Predict the entire bracket by voting below for the tea you think will win each daily taste-off. The grand prize winner—the bracket with the most cumulative points—wins a $100 Happy Lucky's Teahouse Gift Card. (1)

Matcha Madness is a daily taste-off between two teas at Happy Lucky's Teahouse, throughout the month of March.

Do you want to taste and vote daily for your favorite teas during Matcha Madness but don't live in Fort Collins?

The Matcha Madness tea sampler box is your way to taste and vote each day.  

Contents of the Matcha Madness Tea Sampler Box:
* Printed Matcha Madness Bracket detailing the four competing "regions" - Pure Leaf Tea, Chai & More Region, Floral Region, and Fruity Region. 
* All 32 teas competing in Matcha Madness. Each tea will come with brewing instructions and enough tea for ~ 3 - 8oz servings. 
* The Leaves of Tea tasting journal to record your personal tasting notes. Documenting your tasting and experience for each tea will allow you to vote in later rounds if you run out of tea.

For each daily taste-off you can vote for your daily favorite. Emailing instructions will be provided.

Winning Voters

Everyone is invited to Happy Lucky's Teahouse to taste and vote daily. Lucky voters will be posted here starting March 1st. Lucky voters will be notified by email or text.

Bracket Leaderboard

The Predictive Bracket Leaderboard will be updated starting March 8th.

Winners and fine print

There are two ways to win.

(1) The Bracket with the most cumulative points will be the Grand Prize winner and win a $100 Happy Lucky's Teahouse Gift Card. If there is a tie the Bracket with the most correct daily winners will be declared the winner. If there is still a tie then the Grand Prize will be split amongst the winners. 

Bracket Scoring: Scoring is dependent upon picking the correct winner of each taste-off in advance of the Happy Lucky's® Teahouse Matcha Madness launch date of March 1st, 2025 at 10:00am MST. Each correct winner in Round 1 will be awarded 10 points. Each correct winner in Round 2 will be awarded 20 points. Each correct winner in Round 3 will be awarded 40 points. Each correct winner in Round 4 will be awarded 80 points. Correctly picking the Championship Round, the Overall Winner, will be awarded 160 Points. The Bracket with the most cumulative points will be the Grand Prize winner of a $100 Happy Lucky's Teahouse Gift Card. It's Matcha Madness time!!

(2) Visit, taste, and vote daily for your favorite. One lucky voter will be drawn each day and win 100 Tea Lover's Club (TLC) points. Everyone is encouraged to vote daily. Daily voters may win more than once and may win the bracket grand prize as well. Daily Points winners will be notified by email or text and points will be added to your Tea Lover's Club (TLC) account. Winners without an TLC account will have one created for them. TLC points may be redeemed in-teahouse or online at HappyLuckys.com.
