World famous Gunpowder derives its name from the Chinese word "Zhucha" meaning Pearl Tea, referring to the tightly rolled shape of the leaves. Early European tea importers renamed this tea because of its similar shape to gunpowder pellets. Today, this tea is the most common green tea in the world. The brew has a rich, roasted, slightly smoky aroma with a sweet vegetal flavor and a satisfying astringency.
