Matcha is the only tea used in the traditional Chanoyu, the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Matcha drinkers receive the full nutritional benefits by drinking the whole tea leaf.

Add ½ to 1 tsp (or 2 bamboo scoops) of ceremonial matcha into a bowl. Sifting will help remove clumps.

Add 3.5 ounces of 160˚ hot water and whisk briskly in a quick 'M' or 'W' motion until frothy. Make sure to remove clumps.
