The Vithanakanda Estate is located at a relatively low altitude in the Western lowland growing regions of Sri Lanka. In operation since 1982, they have produced quite a bit of tea, and this EFLLOP (extra fancy long leaf orange pekoe) is a solid example of a nice, everyday cup. The brew is mildly astringent with notes of tobacco and sugarcane.
